Menu

Things you should know:
I follow the Canada Food Guide in preparing menus for your child.  Meals and snacks are nutritious and kid friendly.  All food is provided once your child is eating "table food".  If she is on formula, and if she is still eating baby food you must provide these.

Meals are served at approximately the following times

Breakfast..........................7:15 -7:45 am
AM Snack & Lunch.........11:00 am
PM Snack......................... 3:45/4:00  pm
We rotate
We have a 4 week rotating menu, with a variety of foods. While all effort is made to remain consistent, there may be changes/modifications. I am always willing to modify the menu for dietary needs whenever possible, however, such requests must be made prior to acceptance of child into the dayhome, unless foreseen, and in such cases, you may be asked to provide certain items from home.

Drinking

All meals are served with water and 2% milk...3%for kids under 2. Moms, if you have breast-milk, I will be happy to serve it. Milk and water is available throughout the day.

Food items from home

I prefer that all children (not including infants) eat foods that I prepare instead of bringing foods/treats from home.  If your child needs to bring his/her own food, please note there are foods that are unacceptable in our space.

Things NOT to bring
  • I don't ever cook or serve pork, so if you are sending snacks or meals, please do not send pork items or food with pork items/gelatin.
  • Candy, sweets, granola bars etc
  • Pop/soft drinks
